Community Support for Mis Amores Move

Hi my name is Anya and I am the founder of Mis Amores, Knoxville’s first Black-owned coffee shop that’s also a romance bookstore. I am also a mom. Recently my toddler was diagnosed with a neurological disorder after a big scare that requires me to make some changes so I can be more present and navigate what our new normal is like with close monitoring, treatment, and doctor visits. One of the changes I want to make is with my business. I would like to move to a new location that’s smaller that will allow me to make the changes I need to make and give my staff the chance to help me more without too much of the financial stress while we deal with medical bills.

In order for me to make this change I need to terminate my current lease which requires a large fee which is why I’m asking the community for help. If you’re able to donate or share about this in any way, I’d really appreciate it.
