Hi friends <3

Many of you heard about the sudden passing of our friend Randle Rankin on Tuesday. This has been such a shock to our community and something I don’t have words for yet. We’re heartbroken. And grieving is unfortunately being made more stressful for his roommate Alex’s financial situation.

Alex and Randle’s third roommate Travis had already signed a lease to move out at the end of the month prior to Randle’s unexpected passing. We do think this is a beautiful thing for Travis and his family right now. But this has left Alex in the position of needing to fill two bedrooms or finding a new living situation entirely in only 8 days, the end of February.

His friends are starting a GoFundMe to try and cover an additional month of rent for Alex in his current space so that he has more time to grieve the loss of his friend and roommate, before having to find other accommodations. No one should have to grieve on a strict timeline.

As someone who also lived with sweet Randle a few years ago, imagining being in Alex’s position right now is excruciating. If our community could come together now for Alex, it would surely be deeply appreciated amidst this sorrow.

Update: Thank you so much to everyone who donated to help support Alex. Within only 2 hours we already reached our goal. The immense care and love from this community is beyond incredible. We've decided to raise the goal for anyone who would like to still donate. Any funds that will not be used for Alex's expenses will be used directly towards a celebration and gathering for our Randle, which we will be sure to share information about to all of you as soon as we have it.
