Support Ada Villatoro in Her Fight Against Stage 4 Breast Cancer

Ada Villatoro immigrated to the Washington, D.C. area in the mid-1980s in search of a better life. A devoted mother of two sons and the proud owner of El Golfo Restaurant in Silver Spring, Maryland, Ada has spent decades building community through food, culture, and service. Her restaurant has long been a beloved gathering space for locals, local nonprofits, artists, and musicians.

In February 2023, Ada was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Since then, she has undergone multiple surgeries while continuing her cancer treatments. Throughout it all, she has remained strong, continuing to support her family and stay involved in her business, even while facing immense physical and emotional challenges.

Like many cancer patients in the U.S., Ada is burdened with mounting medical bills. Although she has health insurance, it does not cover the full cost of her treatment, surgeries, medications, and ongoing care.

Ada’s family, friends, and community are coming together to raise funds to help ease the financial strain and allow her to focus on healing. All donations will go directly toward her medical expenses and related needs.
