On the night of April 3, our family’s world changed forever. A devastating fire destroyed the Wentworth family home and took the life of our mother, Carolyn.

Our stepfather, Jerry, survived, and we are incredibly grateful for that. But he has lost his wife, his home, and everything inside it. What comes next will not be easy. He is starting over in every sense of the word.

Many friends, neighbors, and members of the community have asked how they can help. The emotional loss is something we will carry for the rest of our lives. The financial impact is immediate. Funds raised will go toward basic necessities and the many needs that come with rebuilding a life from nothing.

We are also planning services to honor my mother’s memory. If support extends beyond Jerry’s immediate needs, those funds will be donated to a charity in her name, something that reflects the kindness and care she showed to others.
