Community Small Business Aid

Hello. My name Kathryn Pascucci. I am a physician in West Hartford. I am also a West Hartford native, a mother to young children and a concerned citizen. The government, medical professions and health policy officials are asking us to practice social distancing. I have spent a lot of time this week trying to figure out ways to help small businesses help our community comply with the current recommendations. If places are open, many people feel that this is a sign it's ok to be out and about around our town! I don't want to alarm people, but I think many of us feel strongly, that it is time to stay home unless necessary. The more we adhere to this, the less time we will need to do it. We need to flatten the curve and protect vulnerable members of our community.

I am starting this page as a place for people to leave a small donation for small businesses who wish to close and are nervous about doing so for financial reasons. Maybe you'd like to help your employees or pay them something if you can't afford their whole salary. Maybe we can help some people provide equipment so that people can work from home. If there is anything people can think of to help our community stay home for this temporary time, we can use these funds for that.
