A Family Who Gives So Much to Others Now Needs Our Help!!
Today, I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask our amazing community to come together and support a very special family who has experienced a devastating house fire.
This one hits especially close to home for me. This amazing mama is one of my son's nurses. She is someone who dedicates her life to caring for others, including my own child, while also being a devoted mother of 6 children of her own, including quadruplets and a child with cerebral palsy.
Now, someone who spends so much of her life caring for others has lost her own home to a devastating house fire. Right now, the home has been deemed uninhabitable until further notice. The Red Cross has put them up in a hotel for a few days until they can find a place to rent.
I cannot begin to imagine the heartbreak, fear, and uncertainty of trying to navigate such a tremendous loss while making sure her 6 children have everything they need. She has spent so much of her life showing up for others. Now it's our turn to show up for her.
I'm organizing a GoFundMe and Meal Train to help take some of the weight off this family's shoulders as they begin the overwhelming process of rebuilding their lives.
From meals and everyday essentials to replacing belongings and finding a sense of normalcy again, every little bit of support will make a huge difference.
If there's one thing I have learned, it's that our small-town community has the most incredible way of rallying around families when they need it most. Whether it's $5, a home-cooked meal, a gift card, or simply sharing this post, no act of kindness is too small.
This mama has been there for my son and our family, providing the compassion and care that means more than words could ever express. Now I want to make sure she knows that she and her children are not alone.
