A few weeks ago, another community member was picked up by ICE while pumping gas at the Holiday Gas Station at 36th & Cedar. He continues to be in detention, leaving his wife and 3 children without any income. I am keeping their names/identity confidential to protect their privacy. On top of the trauma of detention and potential deportation, this has a huge economic impact on their family. They are already behind on bills, and will have legal fees to come. In these times it is so important show up for one another in our community through this injustice and hardship. Thank you for your care and solidarity.
