I’m raising funds for Zekaia, a hardworking mom in our Santa Monica community who has spent years caring for other people’s children.

Zekaia runs a home daycare and has dedicated her life to supporting families, often those going through difficult situations themselves. She is the kind of person who shows up for others every single day.

Right now, she needs us.

Due to serious family challenges, including caring for ill parents while continuing to work and provide for her own children, Zekaia has fallen behind on rent. She is now facing over $5,000 in past due rent and the risk of losing her housing.

This is not someone who is careless or irresponsible. This is someone who has been carrying an overwhelming amount on her own.

We are hoping to raise $6,000 to help her catch up on rent, keep a stable home for her children, and give her a moment to breathe and get back on her feet.
