Today, the towns of Waverly and Shell Rock mourn together as a community. Our hearts are broken as we grieve with the Kruger and Stewart families, as Danny Kruger suffered a train accident while walking to school this morning. Danny was a sophomore at Waverly-Shell Rock High School.

Due to the overwhelming outpouring of kindness and offers of support, we have decided that the way our community might best show our love for the Krugers is to come together to offset any financial burdens (funeral expenses, time off work, etc) facing their family, to allow them time to heal, and to grieve.
