Hi community,

If you know Japji, you likely met her through a community event, activism initiative, fighting for someone's human rights, connecting friends, dancing the night away, through her great sons, or something equally as cool. She has unwavering love and commitment to making the world generally better. She is your go to friend for needed perspective and emotional safety, and a strong dose of unconditional love. We know we are not the only ones who value her entire essence as we do. As much as Japji gives back to her community, this ask is for us as her community, to now help Japji.

We are a small group of friends currently surrounding Japji with love and support as she begins her cancer treatment sessions. As many of you may or may not be aware, Japji has been diagnosed with Grade 2 HER2+ breast cancer, is receiving chemotherapy infusions from Jan 2024-May 2024, and will receive Herceptin infusions from March 2024 to March 2025, surgery in June or July 2024, 10-20 radiation treatments (anticipated in August or September 2024), and five or more years of less invasive treatments.

Japji is self-employed which means that sick days, time off to rest, and needed medicine come as an added expense. This Go Fund Me is an attempt to help provide some relief from financial stressors so she can focus on recovery and getting back to being a mama, friend, coach, and community member extraordinaire.

Japji's consistent positivity and radiance has gotten her through the beginning of this journey. We are hoping that we can help her get through the middle and end with the same supportive energy.
