Community Help for Karla's Home Repair
Donation protected
It’s not easy to ask for help, but today we reach out with heavy hearts and hope. Our beloved Miss Karla Urban of The Bakery in Southbury has recently faced significant adversity. Her home, located near the Southbury Library, has been severely damaged by flooding, she will need a new electrical system, boiler, etc. While she has applied for FEMA and other local support groups, assistance is not immediate. Currently, she is still using a generator and has no hot water.
To make matters more challenging, Karla is still recovering from a broken femur she sustained a few months ago, which has greatly limited her ability to begin the clean up process herself.
Karla has always been the heart of our community. Through The Bakery, she has generously supported numerous causes, brightened countless special occasions with her beautiful cakes, cupcakes, and cookies, and brought joy to many families through her selfless acts. Now, it’s our turn to support her.
We are organizing this fundraiser to help Karla rebuild her home and overcome these dual challenges. Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and show Karla how much she means to all of us.
Let’s come together as a community to give back to someone who has given so much to ours. ❤️
