Community Effort: Aid The Baron's Healing
Donation protected
Hello, The Baron (as I have lovingly referred to him for years now), our friendly unofficial "mayor" of Scholes Street, needs our help. Many of you may have noticed the wound on his neck over the last few weeks. We were finally able to trap him and get him to the vet on Thursday, August 8. He has a very deep abscess that is most likely the result of a bite. He required a drainage procedure and will be staying indoors for the next several days while that begins to heal. The wonderful folks at Greenpoint Cats have helped us out tremendously with resources to get him trapped and to the vet in the first place. My name is Eugenia and I have lived at 14 and now 18 Scholes collectively for nearly 15 years and I am asking for help to cover The Barons vet bills. We all have our own names for the cats at 16 Scholes and care for them in our own ways. If you have ever walked by and chatted with the cats, or had The Baron roll over and ask for chin skritches from you, or you have left them treats on the block, please consider donating a few dollars to help cover his care and make sure he gets better soon. Our community cats deserve to be healthy and happy and it takes our little village to make sure they are safe. Any additional funds we raise will be donated to Greenpoint Cats as they do so much to help our cats in North Brooklyn and were essential in providing The Baron with the care he needed. Thank you!!!
