Community Coming Together for Alex

One of my favourite people is struggling and we need to help. Alex is one of the folks I call my "kids." A small group of fantastic people who continue to amaze me, make me proud, and act with the kindness, compassion, and love I long for seeing in the world. I met Alex years ago and have been lucky to have them in my life.  They've become a key part of our Toronto gaming scene and of the RPG part of Breakout Gaming Convention.

They're a light in the dark for folks, and right now, they need some people to help bring light to their darkness.

Alex is suffering from a connective tissue disorder that's causing them massive pain and discomfort. They're unable to work and this puts their living situation at risk, as well as their food security. While the Canadian medical system struggles to diagnose and discover how to help Alex, they can only navigate travel by bicycle due to their medical needs and just recently their bicycle was stolen. 

This fundraiser is to bring our community together to help one of our own. Alex needs us to help ensure they can pay their rent, get food for themselves, and get a new bicycle so they can make it to their medical appointments and progress on their path towards more stable health. Please join me in helping my kid stay above water and help them feel the love of the community they do so much for.
