Celebrating 10 Years of Community Christmas Dinners

This Christmas marks 10 years of Bay Tree Cookery Academy CIC bringing people together on Christmas Day.

For the past decade, in collaboration with our amazing partner organisations, volunteers and supporters, we have hosted a free Community Christmas Dinner for people across Merseyside.

What started as a small act of kindness has grown into a cherished community tradition, providing hundreds of people with a delicious Christmas dinner, soft drinks, entertainment, presents, food hampers and, most importantly, friendship and companionship on a day that can be incredibly difficult for many.

Every smile, every shared meal and every conversation has been made possible through the generosity of our local community. As we celebrate this special 10-year milestone, we're asking for your support to help make this year's Community Christmas Dinner our most memorable yet.

This years Christmas Day Dinner will be help in the iconic Isle of Gladstone located in Stanley Park Liverpool.

To launch this year's fundraising campaign, I'll be taking on one of my biggest personal challenges yet by swimming the Tri4Life Across Mersey Swim on 1st August 2026.

Setting off at high water from Cockle Inlet, Liverpool, I'll swim across the River Mersey before finishing at Monks Ferry, Alabama Way, Birkenhead.

For many people, it's just a swim. For me, it's about pushing beyond my comfort zone to help ensure that no one in our community has to spend Christmas Day alone.

Every stroke will be for the people who rely on our Community Christmas Dinner—those who need a warm meal, friendly faces, laughter and a place where they belong.

This year marks 10 years of Bay Tree Cookery Academy CIC providing a free Community Christmas Dinner, and I'm asking you to help us make this milestone year our biggest and best yet.

If you'd like to support my swim and help make Christmas special for hundreds of people across our community, please consider making a donation or starting your own fundraiser. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference.
