Community cats to be spayed or neutered, & vetted
Hi, my name is Michelle and I have been working hard to try and help as many "community cats" as possible over the last year. Community cats are cats that no one owns but they hang around because people are gracious enough to feed them. While that is extremely sweet of them, most of these community cats are not fixed and a female cat can have up to 3 litters per year. This is causing overpopulation in the neighborhood and surrounding areas. Also, the kittens are born into harsh environments that they don't deserve.
I was able to get in touch with an organization and they have been assisting me in paying for some of the vet costs. The name of the organization is Shadow Cats and they are located in Austin, TX. I am so grateful to them and they are literally lifesavers. However, in most cases, there is a residual balance left over at the vet's office that myself and my dad have been paying for out of our own pockets. That bill adds up over time as we bring up to 5 cats in at a time.
If anyone would like to donate so that we can continue to TNR (trap, neuter, release) that would be such a help to us. Or if anyone has been thinking of getting a kitten or cat, we can help with that too :) Any help would be appreciated so we can continue to help the ones that don't have a voice of their own to ask for help. Thank you!
