Kitten season is here and one cat colony on E. 14th Street in the Best Manor/Farrelly Pond neighborhood in San Leandro is exploding in numbers. In six weeks we have spayed/neutered 20 cats and pulled 21 kittens, all now placed in rescues or in foster care, with some already adopted into loving homes. But everyday we find new surprises!
We need your help to continue so that we can get all of the cats fixed and vaccinated at this location. Low-cost spay/neuter in San Leandro costs $50 per cat—we’ve secured spay/neuter appointments in July and August, we’ll handle trapping, transport, and after-care, if you can help cover the bill.
What donations cover:
• $100 fixes a pair of cats and prevents them from producing dozens of kittens in one year, saving the kittens from life on the streets and easing pressure on local shelters and TNR groups.
• $50 covers the cost of fixing one cat; this includes vaccinations and ear-tip.
• $5 to $50: Any amount can make a big difference in stabilizing this friendly feral cat colony!
Every dollar goes straight to the spay/neuter costs. Donate or share today and help break the kitten season cycle—one cat colony at a time.
