Dear Community,

Our beloved Vicki needs us now. As you know, she is a powerful

community builder, healer, and artist. You may not know that recently, in a moment of vertigo, she fell backward down seven stairs to a concrete floor. Her skills in martial arts and Qigong made all the difference, but she's still suffering a broken wrist and forearm. The impact of this fall and the surgery that followed include tremendous physical pain in her dominant hand, loss of work, and unexpected medical fees. The road to recovery will be long. Vicki welcomes and deeply appreciates the healing energy and prayers we've been sending. She's taking it in with gratitude and arms wide open. 

We know that Vicki believes each and every one of us has a story to tell,

an important message to the world. That she's an expert speaker, actor,

and martial artist. She was inducted into the Assn. of Women Martial Arts

Instructors Hall of Fame. She has taught Qigong as well as performance

and storytelling to students all over the world, empowering folks to bring

strength and healing to their own lives. She's always striving to become a

good ancestor, envisioning and building a more equitable world in

every way she can. Her big heart and brilliance have impacted so many in

our community. 

This campaign is an invitation to offer mutual aid to help cover out-of-

pocket medical expenses and loss of income during Vicki's recovery. It can be so hard to ask for help, but the alternative would be feelings of

instability and uncertainty about the future. Instead, we hope to offer her a sense of safety, strength, and connection to carry her (and Sherry!)

through.

If you choose to help out, our hope is that you will feel the circle

of reciprocity. That you will experience the goodness that comes from

stepping in to offer community care, healing energy, love, and resources.
