After a decade of gender expansion, Laurel has finally scheduled FFS on September 2!

This is a life-changing milestone that will have a lasting impact on her physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, and overall quality of life. While the surgery itself is an exciting step, the costs of recovery add up quickly: time away from work, medical expenses & supplies, aftercare and everyday living costs. We're asking our community to help ease the burden so Laurel can focus on the rest and healing they need.

If you know Laurel, you know they're a pillar of their community and someone who always shows up for others. She’s a devoted friend, loving partner, skilled care worker and thoughtful clinician who has built their life and practice around mutual aid and solidarity work.

Since they founded Ms. Tea in 2016, Laurel has offered free and donation based herbs to people impacted by state vi0hlence & climate collapse. They offer sliding scale consultations because they believe healing is not a luxury, and everyone should have access to care. Laurel has devoted countless hours sending herbs directly to communities dealing with wildfires, state abandonment, disablement and beyond.

Laurel is self-employed and runs a thriving tiny biz and clinical practice with no employees, investors, or generational wealth. She does not have sick leave or paid time off, and relies on meager single payer insurance. Her work is intensely physically demanding, from tending gardens, pouring client formulas, making gallons of medicine from seed to bottle. Taking off work for 5 weeks will be a huge financial loss.

Your support will help Laurel cover rent, bills and lost income, as well as medical supplies and aftercare for this intensive facial surgery, acupuncture, bodywork, herbs and scar support. It will also support care for their two pups who need daily medication and walks that Laurel will be unable to give them for several weeks. Caring for them is truly a labor of love.
