A beloved member of our community has recently undergone open heart surgery. So we have set up this campaign because the need is very urgent.

Recovery from a major surgery of this kind is long, tender, and demanding especially with the rising cost of living. Over the next 6 months, our dear friend will need support covering basic living costs and health-related expenses while they focus on healing. This includes necessities like:

- housing

- food

- transportation

- medications

- follow-up care

So we are committed to raising $19,200 to help sustain them over the next 6 months. Having our basic communal needs met is something we all deserve, so we are working to ensure healing does not have to happen under the weight of financial stress. When care is collective rest, recovery, and dignity are not luxuries.
