A note from us on AI and Donation safety:
Please remember that Erin Rose will never facetime, phone call, whatsapp, or email you asking for money outside of this gofundme page.
If you receive a desperate plea for money, in a format other than this specific GoFundMe page, it should be assumed fraudulent.
Please be safe everyone. And thank you so much.
Update - April 5th, 2026
Hello everyone,
Today we sent out our thank yous. It felt so good to express our gratitude to everyone who helped us pay the rent. We’re relieved and excited to meet this first milestone!
Now we have just $1500 remaining in the goal, to catch up the utilities and keep the lights on. Anything we raise beyond that will maintain critical bills through May. We can do it!
And if you can’t donate (or donate further), please share this on any socials you can, so more people will find us and help with the fundraising.
I’m also happy to share that Erin Rose was able to take nature walks with friends this weekend! This brings them literally steps closer to the life they want to rebuild - you made that possible. This fundraiser has relieved so much stress, and I am so happy that my good friend will be able to continue their healing journey from a much stronger foundation. Thank you for being a part of it.
Gratefully,
Selena (and Erin Rose)

On January 10th, my dear friend Erin Rose experienced a vertebral artery dissection, also known as a brain bleed. This is a common cause of stroke and increased stroke risk. Erin Rose seems to have experienced at least one stroke since the brain bleed began. While the cause is unknown, it may be genetic.
Recovery is slowly progressing, but the timing just isn’t up to us. In the meantime, we're trying to help them raise money to make ends meet.
Erin Rose is one of my closest friends, and is someone who has dedicated life to supporting others. As an herbalist, manual therapist and chiropractic physician, their practice is a safe place for people dealing with chronic illness symptoms and pain; a place to feel better. It takes a lot of heart and skill to provide the truly transformative care that Erin Rose gives patients. It is an honor to witness and I would like to see it continue.
Erin Rose is also the sole provider for a dependent adult, so bills add up fast. Extended family and friends have been helping in the ways that we can, but at this point we just need outside support to keep the lights on and bills paid while Erin Rose gets better. Thankfully there was a recent approval for short term gap insurance (called HRSN for anyone who needs it). The money will pay for rent and bills but won’t start until June. In the meantime, a potential eviction is looming unless we can come up with at least $2400 by April 5th. Getting to $4000 would help us cover bills too.
It’s short notice, but I think we can do it.
This is a moment where financial support from the community can make a real difference. Miraculously Erin Rose has been able to stay in their same rental home for the past 17 years. Their kid grew up there, their work is down the street, and Peninsula Park is basically their back yard. Being able to stay in their long-term home would mean so much.
You may have seen how the right help in the right moment can make the difference between loss and recovery. This is one of those moments. Timing is everything with stroke rehab, prevention, and care. During this period of healing, pressure and stress could lead directly to lifelong disability, but we can prevent it.
With help and time to recover, Erin Rose has a strong chance of returning to full capability and health, including returning to work.
I’m sharing this in the spirit of mutual aid. If you’re able to contribute or share, it will help create stability and a foundation for healing. I would forever feel grateful if you can help support this person I love so much and who needs our help now.
