The Maidstone Art Centre is a not for profit community organisation whose ethos is community art for all.
we provide daily art sessions for both children and adults at a nominal cost and offer a warm welcoming place where anyone can come along and participate in art or simply sit and have a cuppa and a chat.
Our centre brings the community together and offers a welcome and a friendly face for anyone who might need us. Art can bring children and adults together, and we strive to bring inspiration and fun to all who visit us.
We have people of all ages from 3 to 85, from varying backgrounds and varying abilities, all of whom have become valued members of our art family.
the centre currently runs by the use of my retirement savings but there are so many things we need, including a heating system and some new windows which are beyond my dwindling savings. We would also like to offer disadvantaged children who may not be able to afford even our nominal class fee, a sponsorship for a year, giving them weekly art classes for a whole year.
entirely not for profit, and registered as a Community Interest Company, we hope to just cover our rent and utilities and would love some help to get the things which we currently just cannot afford.
we are blessed by local people who offer both their time and their unwanted art supplies for which we are eternally grateful
