Community Appeal for Lev's Childcare costs

Dear Friends,

The sudden loss of our dear friend Larissa has left a profound void in our lives. Larissa was not only an incredible mother and wife but also a shining example of kindness in our community. She was an extremely intelligent and industrious woman and a loving mother who committed herself to selflessly helping others. Her heart reached out to those most vulnerable, always extending her hand in assistance, warmth, and hospitality. Her door was perpetually open to all of us, and she would answer the phone at any hour when a friend was in need, showing boundless compassion.

Over the past year and a half, she devoted endless hours to establishing and running an organization called 'Psychologists of the World for Ukraine,' committed to providing free mental health support to Ukrainian refugees in crisis. In her own words: “We have put together a community of Russian and Ukrainian-speaking psychologists and psychotherapists who are offering free online help to Ukrainian refugees, in any location. We now have enough psychologists (and spaces for new clients!)". Driven by her true values and passion, she successfully managed this monumental task while balancing a full-time job, parenting, and evening therapy consultations with regular clients.

Today, as we mourn her untimely passing, we also recognize the challenges that lie ahead for Larissa's spouse, Alex, and their 5-year-old son, Lev. The weight of this loss on Lev is indescribable. Larissa’s tragic death has placed an immense burden on their family, and they are in need of our support. As Alex copes with his grief and the responsibility of caring for Lev, the financial and emotional burdens become even more overwhelming.

Understanding the difficulties of raising children in London, especially for single parents, we are establishing a fund to aid Alex and Lev. Your generous contributions will be directed towards meeting Lev's childcare needs in the challenging months ahead.
