Sharon Nelson's story: For those of you that don't know, I have been out of work for a year with an open case with Rockdale School System. This is due to being abused by a student and witnessing abuse in other classrooms. The lawyers keep postponing the case with no valid reason other than a deterrent. I am not sure why this is allowed as it is prolonging the process of my care and well being. I have been denied treatment and have taken a mental downgrade since the incident, on top of my classroom being trashed like the DEA came through! I was told I didn't have to clean it up and my laptop was broken and not replaced. They stated personal items should not be in the classroom. If you know any teacher you know that 80 percent of the items in their room they bought personally. I was also told abuse comes with my job. They terminated me for not going back to work after 160 days even though I'm under a doctor's care and cannot work. I have all documentation from my doctor stating these facts. They keep postponing my case and I am in need of help to pay regular bills that I am behind on. I figured since I've always helped others maybe others can help me now. I have a lack of support, and only a handful have helped me during this time of need. This is my last resort! It's only temporary until this is over and I will be back on track. I will have a story to tell that will probably go viral behind this ordeal. I am going to be a part of the Parent Accountability Act movement in Georgia. The whole world will hear my story! Any donations will help me stay afloat.
Thank you for your support and encouragement.
