Hi all, I am Annalesa Schleicher. I was born and raised in Bagdale Mountain, and Accompong Town St. Elizabeth Jamaica.
On October 28th, Hurricane Melissa devastated the island of Jamaica, leaving behind catastrophic damage. With winds reaching up to 185 mph, this historic storm tore through communities and changed countless lives overnight.
St. Elizabeth—my home parish—was hit the hardest when the hurricane made landfall. Homes, churches, and businesses were destroyed, and an estimated 80–90% of residents lost the roofs over their heads.
This GoFundMe will directly support the people of Bagdale Mountain, Accompong, Thornton, and Aberdeen, as they begin to rebuild and recover. As someone from this area with family still living there, I will ensure that these funds go directly to the people in need. For them to use as they deem necessary. Your generosity will make a real difference. Thank you sincerely for your kindness and support.
Donations are personal gifts and are not tax-deductible.
