Dear friends, family, and fellow animal lovers,

We're devastated to share the heartbreaking news that Linda Richmond, the passionate owner of Bubbles Pet Salon, experienced a tragic loss in the early hours of Sunday, March 3, 2024. A fire destroyed her beloved grooming sanctuary, taking with it not only her cherished business but also her beloved cats, Peeps (15) and Precious (18), who were unable to escape.

Linda's journey with Bubbles Pet Salon began in Weston, Ohio, in 1997, where she poured her heart and soul into building a haven for pets and their owners. In 2006, she expanded her dream, opening a second location in North Baltimore. Despite her dedicated efforts, a surge in business insurance costs led to unforeseen challenges in maintaining coverage. Amidst personal family matters, the task of securing new insurance was delayed, unfortunately it left the shop uninsured at the time of the fire. The aftermath has left Linda overwhelmed with financial burdens, as she faces the daunting task of rebuilding her dream from the ashes while mourning the loss of her beloved pets.

During this difficult time, we turn to our community for support. Our collective goal is to help offer support around Linda, offering financial assistance to alleviate the burdens of cleanup, reconstruction, and transition. It's a chance for us to reciprocate the love and care she has long extended to our furry companions and our community as a whole.

Considering Linda's age, nearing 70, and the extensive resources required for rebuilding, the future of reopening Bubbles Pet Salon remains uncertain. While it's a difficult reality to accept, we must prepare for the possibility that reopening may not be feasible. Nevertheless, your contributions will provide crucial aid as Linda navigates this challenging chapter in her life.
