Commonwealth Judo Championships in South Africa
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kirsten Millar and I have been selected to represent Northern Ireland at this Summer’s Commonwealth Judo Championships being held in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. This is a massive achievement for me and something I have worked extremely hard for. This is a completely self-funded tournament, and will cost me around £2,000 for flights, accommodation, entry fee and transfers.
I have been doing judo for over 10 years and am a member of the Northern Ireland Performance Programme. I earned the remaining points for promotion to 1st Dan (Black Belt) at the recent Northern Ireland Championships where I became Junior and Senior Northern Ireland Champion. I regularly compete and attend training camps all over the UK and Ireland. I have had a lot of success in recent years winning medals at local, national and international events. Last year I won both the NI and Irish Schools Championships and medalled at the British Schools Championships.
I would be very grateful for any support you could give me which would help me attend this competition.
Many thanks
Kirsten
