I'm Patrick Furphy

For the past year I have taken up the sport of Powerlifting.

Recently this year I competed in the British Masters where I placed 4th and the All England Championships where I placed 3rd.

The latter qualified me for the Commonwealth Games 2024 in South Africa.

I am overwhelmed with joy to be given the opportunity to represent England in a sport I'm so passionate about.

I have been training the Power Lifts and Olympic Lifts to benefit my 1st sport Judo throughout my 20's. Unfortunately my body can't take the impact no more. After watching The Sheffield 2023 I decided to take up Powerlifting Competitively not realising the journey it would take me. I've not come this far to only get this far, the path ahead of me, I can tackle it
