Common Climber

Common Climber is an all-volunteer online monthly magazine created by, for, and about us - Common Climbers. Common Climbers are regular people with regular lives who climb without judgment in whatever style, grade, and discipline that gives them joy.

As a team, we are growing and fulfilling a unique niche in the climbing magazine world, highlighting Common Climbers worldwide through their photography, art, and writing, and sharing their experiences to which we can all relate.

The Common Climber platform sings diversity and paints creative content that uplifts and shines the light on all of us – regardless of our life and climbing histories.

Our vision is to bring Common Climbers together to share each other’s art, photography, and stories and celebrate what we all love and have in common - climbing, in all its forms - in an inclusive and positive way. We also deliver some additional content through Instagram and Facebook which are typically unique and don’t overlap.

In addition, we are planning a beautiful, oversized, high-gloss print Common Climber Anthology just in time for the holidays - again honoring the "best-of" work of your fellow climbers and sharing some fresh, new content.

But to do these things we need your help! We don't do annoying pop-up ads on our website or any advertising aside from our small business marketplace page, which is intended to provide exposure to small climbing and outdoor related businesses, for which we don’t get paid. We want you to have a peaceful, enjoyable reading experience. But to maintain that, we need to cover our costs.

We have set a modest fundraising goal $1000 USD to cover some of our basic operating expenses, to help spread the word about Common Climber, and to start the ball rolling on the print Anthology.

If you see a value in and enjoy what we are doing, can you help us reach our goal? Any and every dollar helps out, so don’t shy away if you can only donate a small amount.

This fund raiser runs for a limited time, from August 1 - 15, 2020.

We will also have an awesome online silent auction from August 15 - 31, 2020 (the direct link to the auction will be available on the website beginning August 15, but you can take a sneak peak at our growing list of auction items now.)

Visit our website and Facebook  page for up-to-date information on the fund raising and fun (we plant to get creative!)
