You're invited to join us in commissioning a composition by renowned composer Jay Bocook. The world premiere will be June 16, 2019 (Father's Day) as we convene a band of professional musicians to perform beloved compositions. The Father's Day Celebration concert will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. The grade 4+ composition will be a fantasia based on Verdi's Overture "La Forza del Destino" and will be playable by high school bands. Individuals or bands are invited to participate.
$250 - BANDS will receive score acknowledgement and rights to perform the composition.
$200 - HONORARY MAESTRO. Close Friends and Family Members.
$100 - HONORARY SECTION LEADER. Friends and people who love bands.
$50 - HONORARY BANDSMEN. People who love Larry and bands!
$25 - FORMER BAND MEMBERS.
Former band students of Larry in Campbellsville, Holston, Blazer, or Lafayette.
Former "grand" band students of Larry through Craig Cornish or Steven Moore (and many others) at Lafayette, Dunbar, North Hardin, UK, CSU, UCM, UM, MTSU.
Former band students everywhere who want to shout out their support for bands!

3. Relationship to J. Larry Moore: son.
4. How the funds will be used: the commission expense (composer honorarium) is the majority of the funds. The remainder of the expenses are related to the performance: including venue rental, marketing/advertising, equipment and music, and reception.
Any funds raised beyond expenses will be donated to the Lafayette High School Band (Lexington, Kentucky) and the Paul G. Blazer High School Band (Ashland, Kentucky).
The budget and all expenditures are reviewed and approved by the Board of Advisors (see above). Beth M. King, treasurer and Alice Wanninger, assistant treasurer will pay all expenses from the bank account dedicated to this commission and concert.
