Commemorative Park Bench in Memory Of Austin
Donation protected
On October 29th, Austin Masciale took one last skate away from us. He was truly loved by so many different communities and social circles, he made a huge impact in his hometown of Hamilton and beyond.
Growing up, Austin's childhood home connected with Inch Park. This is where you'd find him doing backflips off of the swings, skating around, and climbing things he wasn't supposed to—you know, just being Austin.
Because of this, we are raising funds to put in a commemorative bench, perfect for skating of course, at Inch Park. The plan is to get the basic grey slat concrete bench with a memorial plaque.
The plaque will read something as in:
"In Loving Memory of Austin Daniel Masciale
NOVEMBER 5, 1993 – OCTOBER 29, 2021" with a phrase that will encourage people to skate on the bench.
The bench is $1,100 and the customized plaque $500.
We want to encourage that artwork be displayed around this bench as well. Ideally on the concrete slab that the bench is placed atop. Any ideas surrounding the phrasing on the plaque are welcome!
No matter how you knew the guy, he touched so many hearts and has now brought us together to share our love for him. It would be amazing to have a memorial for him and have a special place where friends and family can go and connect with Austin, and his loved ones. Any donations are appreciated.
