Commemorative Bench Memorial for Audrey Peet

I'm Kim Pierson.  Audrey Peet , my close friend and walking partner for the past 10 years, lost her battle with brain cancer (GBM) on March 29, 2021.  The military brought Audrey and Mike  to O'Fallon in 2009.  Audrey was a wife, mother to 4, gigi to 3,  a USAF veteran, a teacher and a friend to many.  She was always willing to help any person or animal in need.  Audrey was part of our neighborhood Bunco group.  Often saying she came "just for the food".  Audrey and I walked thousands of steps around the sports park and in the neighborhood since 2009.   To honor her, a commemorative bench will be placed along the walking path at the O'Fallon Family Sports Park.  Her husband, Mike, and I have already started the process and the bench will be placed on the west side of the park this summer or fall.  I wanted to give others the opportunity to honor her memory by donating to the bench if they choose. 

The above picture is from our last 5K Toolen's Running Store Top of the Morning event that we participated in on March 9, 2020, which is just a week before she would be diagnosed. 

She is greatly missed by many!!
