Commemorating Sherie Davy

Our beloved friend Sherie Davy passed on unexpectedly on New Years Day. We will remember Sherie as wise, warm and thoughtful, with a thespian's mesmerizing voice, a twinkle in her eye and a soft spot for people in need. Sherie was a woman of deep faith and a long-time public servant who dedicated her time to local non-profits and to serving her church -- leading bible study and prayer during the week, and always looking after family, friends and church members, even up to her last day.
As a state retiree, Sherie lived modestly and we are reaching out to those who knew and loved her to ask for help in assisting her sons Jason and Vincent and the rest of her family with funeral and burial expenses that have arisen due to her sudden passing. A funeral service for Sherie will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Elmwood Park Church of Christ, 2001 Antietam Ave, Detroit, Michigan at 11:00 am. A celebration of Sherie's life is also planned for this spring in Lansing.
