The past couple months have been difficult for our brave Commander. When we first noticed him having difficulty peeing, we took him to the vet and they told us it was manageable diabetes. Now, six weeks later, we are dealing with painful, life-threatening bladder stones that are blocking his urinary tract, making him unable to pee, eat, and breathe easily. We've tried a couple remedies to avoid costly surgery, but the stones keep re-obstructing, causing a lot of stress for both cats and humans in the Rippe Desmond household.
We took out a line of care credit for the emergency trips, and have almost maxed out our line of $2000. The surgeries now required, including a cystomy and perineal urethrostomy, are scheduled for today and will cost $800. We would like to at least be able to cover those costs so we can rest assured we can pay for it. Anything over that amount will help us pay for additional monitoring, fluids, food, and the medical debt accumulated over the past week.
Thank you for your love and support of our Big Guy and our cat-loving family.
