Help Ben and His Six Children Through an Unimaginable Loss

Our family is asking for help for a father and his six children who have experienced an unimaginable loss.

On Thursday, their mother and wife, Chantelle, passed away tragically and unexpectedly, leaving behind six children, ranging in age from 4 to 21, and her husband, Ben.

Chantelle devoted her life to her children and was the heart of their home. She was deeply involved in their everyday lives and fiercely advocated for her children. She loved babies, snuggles, and being a mom. She was also a wonderful cook who took pride in caring for her family. Her loss has left a hole that cannot be put into words.

Ben has worked hard to provide for his family. Working in the trades has pulled him far away from his family at times, sometimes for extended periods. But, he has always been happiest when he was home with his family. Unfortunately, he is also facing significant health challenges of his own. He is currently dealing with serious problems with his vision and has completely lost sight in one eye, with further treatment expected. This means that he isn't currently able to work and struggles to drive outside of town.

In the middle of trying to process the loss of his wife, Ben is now facing the overwhelming reality of caring for and providing for six children while navigating a future that has suddenly changed in every possible way.

Right now, we want to give this family some breathing room.

Funds raised will help with immediate and ongoing expenses such as funeral and memorial costs, household expenses, groceries, transportation, childcare, the children's needs, and the many unexpected costs that come with such a devastating loss. It will also give Ben some time to focus on his children and his own health without having to carry every financial worry at once.

There are no words that can make this loss easier, and no amount of money can replace their mom and wife. But we can surround them with love and make the road ahead a little less overwhelming.
