On February 24th, our mom was pronounced brain dead after a sudden and devastating medical emergency. She has been in the hospital since the 22nd and is still there now. This has been the most unexpected and heartbreaking time of our lives. She struggled her whole life with BPD, anxiety, depression, and CPTSD, but now she is finally free and with her mama. She was a registered organ donor, and even in this unimaginable loss, she is giving the gift of life to others. Because of her selfless decision, the organ donation team is generously helping cover the remainder of her hospital stay until we are able to say our final goodbyes and she goes into surgery.
As a single mom, I am doing everything I can to hold things together while my brother and I travel daily to be by her side. Our sister and her fiancé are flying in to be with us as well. None of us were financially prepared for something like this. The travel, time away from work, and unexpected expenses are overwhelming. Our focus right now is being together, honoring her, and preparing to say goodbye.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will help during this incredibly difficult time. We are deeply grateful for your prayers, love, and support.
