I’m asking for your support so we can come together, like we always do, to stand by this family, show them our love, and help lay their loved one to rest with dignity. Your help with the costs will ease some of their stress and worry and allow them the space to grieve during this heartbreaking time.
My name is Paula Raymond. Over the past several years, I’ve sadly had to create GoFundMe pages about once a year as we’ve lost so many good young people. Each time, my heart is in the same place: I just want to help give them a proper send‑off that honors who they were and how much they or their families mean to all of us.
I know I’m posting this on Christmas Day. While many are celebrating and the world is moving forward with this joyful holiday, please know that for this family, time has stood still. My heart and my thoughts are with them today.
This fundraiser is especially heartbreaking and truly one of a kind, as this is the second child in this Everett family to pass away in less than three years. As many of you know, Tony and I grew up without a father, and I can honestly say that George has been the closest thing to a father I’ve ever known. He has helped me and Nick countless times over the years, just as he has quietly helped so many other people in Everett.
Tina passed away unexpectedly and suddenly on Sunday, December 21, 2025. I was just 13 years old when Tina was born, and from that moment on she was the apple of my eye throughout my entire teenage life. She was my very first babysitting job. I had never seen a baby so young—she was just three days old—Joe Case’s new baby sister.
I don’t think a day went by that she wasn’t with me. I had her so much that a lot of people thought she was my child. I would bring her to Everett Huskies cheering practice and she would sit in her carriage and watch, while her dad George was running the Everett Eagles program. Looking back, it’s a little ironic. If you are from Everett, you know there were two Pop Warner football leagues back in the day—and there was always some good, healthy competition. Even now, you were either a Husky or an Eagle. Tina later became an Eagle cheerleader.
Fast forward 25+ years, and we ended up having babies just a few months apart—our kids growing up together. As alot of you know, George watched Tinas son Jason and Nick while we worked. What a great guy George is. Not only did he take Nick and Jason home from school, but he would also stay with them at my house so my mom was not alone after 10 rounds of chemo and radiation. It was such a big help and reduced my stress level tenfold.
I am confident many of you reading this can share your own story about George and how he has helped you or someone in your family. I can’t tell you how many Everett kids he let play football even when they or their families couldn’t afford to pay. He is just that kind of guy, and that is one of the many reasons we need to come together now and help him bury his daughter.
Some of you/many of you may know, Tina has faced more than her share of struggles over the years: lupus, epilepsy, mental health challenges, and addiction. Despite all of this, I know she was truly trying to get her life back on track. Losing her is devastating, and my heart is broken for George and Carol, who have now lost two children in three years.
I find some comfort in hoping that Tina is now sitting with so many other Everett greats—her brother Joe, Pooh, Charemon, Pete, Haley, Dolly & my Momma—I can only hope at peace and surrounded by love.
This GoFundMe is being created to help George and Carol with the costs of burying a second child and to ensure that Tina receives the proper farewell she deserves. Any amount you can give will help ease this unbearable burden and will mean more to this family than words can say.
Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for helping us come together for Tina, for George and Carol, and for the entire family. I encourage you to share any stories and pictures, as it truly helps them get through this tough time.
Arrangements with be forth coming and I will post updates , as this his a holiday week with holdays schedules and the family is in the process of deciding arragements.
