Help support The Traum Family as they rebuild after a devastating fire

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

We are devastated to share that our friends and neighbors Tracy and Mike recently experienced a catastrophic fire that has turned their lives upside down.

Many of you know Tracy and Mike as the selfless hearts behind SOCKS(Save Our Cats and Kittens) Rescue here in Dixon, a licensed non-profit cat rescue. They spend every single day pouring their time, energy, and resources into saving vulnerable animals in our community. They are always the first to step up to help animals in need.

Today, they are the ones who desperately need our lifeline.

While a separate fund is being established specifically to help rebuild the rescue facility, this page is dedicated entirely to supporting Tracy and Mike personally.

The fire has caused severe damage to their home and they have lost clothing, furniture, personal belongings, and a safe place to sleep. Amidst the immense stress of trying to figure out how to keep their rescue animals safe, they are now facing the overwhelming reality of having to rebuild their own daily lives from scratch.

Tracy and Mike would never ask for help for themselves—which is exactly why we are asking for them. They give so much to the community and we want to ensure they have the financial breathing room to take care of their own basic human needs right now.

How Your Donations Helps Tracy and Mike Directly: Every dollar raised will go straight to help them cover:

*Emergency Housing and Food: Giving them a safe place to stay and hot meals while they are displaced.

*Replacing Essential Personal Items:Purchasing clothes, shoes, toiletries, and everyday necessities that were lost in the smoke and flames.

*Immediate Bills and Living Expenses: Helping them stay afloat financially as they navigate insurance, clean-up, and the long road to recovery.

If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this link with your network. Let's come together to wrap our arms around two incredible people who have done so much for the community.

Thank you so much for your kindness, love, and support.

With gratitude,

Brenda (friends/neighbors) of Tracy and Mike
