Come together for Bill and Sue Walls
Dear Friends,
It’s never easy to communicate bad news and this is certainly no exception. Our dear friends Bill and Susan Walls (Del Pozzo), have recently received very difficult news.
As you may know, Bill and Sue rediscovered their high school love after 40 years and were married in November of 2019. Their happiness was short lived as Sue was diagnosed with stage 2 Uterine Cancer in January. While Sue and Bill were preparing to deal with the difficult reality of Sue’s cancer, they were hit with the devasting news that Bill had developed a brain tumor as a result of an aggressive form of brain cancer and will face a very difficult future.
Dealing with a loved one’s battle with cancer is one of life’s most difficult challenges, dealing with this disease with both you and your loved one is, as Sue describes it, surreal.
Sue and Bill both had surgery within a week of each other. Sue’s prognosis is optimistic, but Bill’s prognosis is quite a bit more uncertain as Grade 4 brain cancer requires radiation every day for the next two months and Chemotherapy for at least the next 12 months.
This is the part where friends can step up to help. The cost of Sue and Bill’s medical treatment is monumental. The hard reality is that insurance will cover only a portion of the costs. Many friends have asked how they can help so as a result, we have set up a process to help share the burden of cost they are about to endure.
Thank you for your friendship and support, your kind thoughts and prayers are appreciated by Bill and Sue more than you can imagine.
