Hello, my name is Heidi Lawson.
My husband, Tyler Lawson, has been a longtime friend of Blue Hill resident Scot Gould, a farmer, herbalist, former Chef at the Maine Maritime Academy, current employee of the Town of Blue Hill and beloved member of the Kingdom Road community.
On April 11th early evening, Scot and his sweetheart, Emily Olds, a dedicated-local private chef, currently working for the lovely Kollegewidgwok Yacht Club here in Blue Hill, lost their home in a devastating house fire. They lost everything they owned. We are incredibly grateful that they and their two dogs are safe, and for that we give thanks.
With heavy hearts, we share that Flynn has been found, and he did not survive the fire.
As they begin the difficult journey of rebuilding their lives from the ground up, we are asking for help from our community. If you are able to make a donation, all proceeds will go directly to Scot and Emily to help them meet their immediate needs and start over.
Here are a few personal and passion-driven items that were lost that meant a great deal. If anyone is in a position to donate, they are especially in need
musical instruments and related equipment
camping gear.
tools for landscaping, foraging, or farming
Canning and food preparation or storage
chef or kitchen items—from gadgets to specialty pieces.
Dog accessories (XXL and XL dogs ) - harnesses - leashes - beds and bowls and let's not forget toys!
These are the kinds of things that help restore not just a home, but a sense of normalcy and joy.
If donating is not possible, sharing this link would mean so much and help spread the word.
Thank you all for your kindness, prayers, and support during this heartbreaking time.
with so much love,
Heidi
