Help with funeral expenses for Nicole Chavez

For those of you who may not know me, my name is Karisa Garcia. I am a long time friend of the Chavez family on whose behalf I am reaching out. It is with deep regret that we announce that our beloved Nicole (Nicki) has lost her battle against brain cancer. She gained her wings on 10/16/21. Her husband Chris, daughter Alyssa & son Draven can use all the help that they can get at this time.
On 10/25/20, Nicki had multiple seizures from a head injury. Then on 10/29/20, the family received results concluding 2 unknown masses in her brain (possibly tumors). They were later confirmed to be malignant (brain cancer). The type of cancer she had is called Glioblastoma. It is 1 of the most aggressive types of cancer & the survival rate is only 15%. Typically it occurs in males, aged 64 or older. So hers was an extremely rare case.
The family had some health insurance coverage, but still had to pay a significant amount of $ out of pocket. Not to mention lost wages for both Nicki & Chris during this time. They obviously had to miss work & needed to take additional time off to heal/recover. There continued to be inevitable medical expenses. This whole ordeal has been stressful enough without considering the financial obligations involved. Now we have a funeral to arrange & desperately want to give Nicki the proper services that she so deserves.
It is hard asking for help. Especially because this particular family is usually the 1 helping other's. But this is what community is for & why they're so deserving of our assistance! We need to lift each other up during hard time's. Your support is so appreciated. We are all devastated. She has touched so many lives around her. Looking forward to honoring her memory. Dreading having to say our final goodbyes. Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts!
