Support Jon: A First Responder in Need
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted community members,
We are reaching out to share the story of our dear friend Jon, a dedicated first responder who has always been there for others. Recently, while responding to a call for help, Jon experienced an unfortunate accident, slipping on ice and sustaining a spinal cord injury. He is currently in the ICU at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he will be receiving care for the next two months.
Jon’s commitment to helping others is unwavering, and he has always put his community first. Now, as he faces this unexpected challenge, we want to come together to support him and his family during this time.
Following his ICU stay, Jon will require approximately eight weeks of rehabilitation out of state. This situation has added unexpected stress for his family, both emotionally and financially. To alleviate some of this burden, we are raising funds to help cover medical expenses, travel costs, and daily necessities.
Additionally, the family would greatly appreciate any contributions in the form of meals, DoorDash gift cards, Walmart gift cards, or gas cards, as they will be commuting between Morganton and Winston Salem.
Let’s show Jon how much he means to us by coming together as a community. Your support, whether through a donation or simply by sharing this campaign, can make a meaningful difference in his journey to recovery.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Please keep Jon, Amy and the entire family in your prayers.
