Coming Together for Tenorplayer Roman Schwaller

Dear Friends and Colleagues of Roman Schwaller,

we, the subscribers are reaching out to ask for your support for our friend, the renowned Swiss Tenorplayer Roman Schwaller, who is currently facing overwhelming teeth problems causing a severe financial situation and almost stopped him from playing the saxophone forever.

Roman has lived an intensive life with ups and downs and now is retired but only gets three little pensions from Austria, Switzerland and Germany which allow him to live a decent life in Vienna, Austria. Since a couple of years he is suffering under severe teeth problems that led to an almost complete pull-out of his teeth replacing them step-by-step with implants and artificial teeth. In order to keep playing his new upper jaw teeth had to be exchanged with ceramic ones and the lower jaw is facing the same problem upcoming. This exceeded the costs up to € 28’000 until now that are not covered by his health insurance at all and it’s not even over yet.

At age 68 Roman’s voice in straight-ahead Jazz is important to us and we want to give him the opportunity to keep on playing as long as his body will allow him. He mostly plays in the Vienna Jazz Clubs and also supports young musicians musically.

We are organizing a crowdfunding campaign to provide Roman with the financial support he desperately needs. Your generous contributions will help cover his medical bills allowing him to focus on his beloved Tenorsaxophone.
