My name is Zoie and I am a friend in passing of this older veteran in need. I was able to get ahold of Jake’s owner yesterday. His message was just as heartbreaking as the note that was left with Jake, his beloved dog. He is no longer able to take care of Jake because of his declining health due to his teeth. I feel the need to make this because I personally met him and Jake on magnolia near the hospital district in late February. The older veteran was looking for a home for Jake but kept Jake a few more months it looks like because he genuinely LOVES that dog like family. Jake and his owner are the nicest, kindest and most selfless loving souls I’ve ever met in my life and I don’t say that lightly. I know giving Jake up destroyed him so we need to come together to help our beloved veteran get his health/teeth back! I believe Jake is safe now and adopted (I have relayed the message to Jake’s owner) but we need to raise funds so this great veteran can get his dental health taken care of. It is taking his life away! Anything helps! I don’t have a picture of him but here’s some pictures he sent me of Jake!
