Our dear Elder, Grandma Losah, is in the hospital following a serious car accident that broke her right knee, right hip, left rib and hands. Her car was completely totalled in the crash. Grandma Losah underwent multiple surgeries due to the severity of her injuries and faces a long recovery that doctors estimate will take 1-2 years.
Grandma Losah has dedicated her life to standing up for others. She is a fierce advocate for Indigenous rights, unhoused communities, and many whose voices are often ignored. Now, Grandma Losah needs us.
Your donation will support Grandma Losah with:
- Daily essentials: meals, personal care while at the hospital and eventually, when she transitions back home.
- Ongoing care support: help with chores, groceries and household tasks so she can focus entirely on healing and recovery.
- Mobility essentials: wheelchair, accessibility ramp, physical therapy, and a walker.
