Di Ryde has been a member of the borzoi community for decades. She started with rescues, before getting her first show dog, a white & red boy named Loki, back in 2001. Her dogs and family are her life.

Since the lost of the love of her life, Jim, she has tried to make most of her life, and moving from job to job after a back injury forced her into early retirement. Subsequent back surgery has made it difficult, but she has fought to continue, always with a smile on her face (and maybe a few curse words under her breath).

Recently during the storm that hit most of the Eastern side of the country, she slip and fell, fracturing one of her legs. She now needs surgery, which means being out of work for the foreseeable future. As a widow who was already living paycheck to paycheck, Di hates asking for help, but that's what friends are for.

Unfortunately, on top of the medical emergency, her furnace died and needs to be replaced. We understand money is tight for everyone in this economy, but every penny will help her stay warm and help her while she recovers from this surgery.
