Coming together for Craig

Craig needs our help.

In 2007, Craig's world turned upside-down. A physician noticed changes in his appearance and urged him to get an MRI. He was diagnosed with Acromegaly, which is a tumor on the pituitary gland. It causes the pituitary gland to produce too much growth hormone and a multitude of other problems. Craig spent several months preparing for surgery and sold his beloved business to pay for medical expenses. Although recovery was difficult, the surgery was successful. Until 15 years later, when Craig’s symptoms returned. The last time Craig faced surgery, he had a partner and financial resources from the business he sold. This time he is alone and without financial assistance.

Craig is generous, open-hearted, infinitely caring, and a true friend.

Craig has a special place in the heart of Habitat Coffee. Craig was a part of the opening team for Habitat, saw us through our first 6-years and is solely responsible for the awesome coffee program that we have to this day. We can honestly say that without Craig, Habitat wouldn't be as community orientated or as successful. He helped us when we needed it most. Now, it is our turn to help him. Let's raise $50,000 for Craig.

Please donate what you can to this fundraiser. Every dollar will be put towards Craig's medical expenses, rent and living expenses. He is months behind on his rent (& still has a home due to the grace of a kind and generous landlord. Craig inspires kindness in everyone he meets) and the medical bills and expenses are piling up. $50,000 will bring Craig out of debt and help pay his expenses while he recovers from his next surgery.

On Saturday, Sept 28 - 25% of sales at Habitat Coffee LA will be donated to this fundraiser. We will also have more information about Craig and his illness.
