This family is the kind that defines a community. Clay and Melissa raised their three children in Ouray and have poured years of hard work, love, and selflessness into the people around them. Clay grew up here and, as the longest-working employee at our company, his dedication and work ethic are something we’ve all seen and relied on. Together, they are the kind of people who show up no matter what, giving to others without ever asking for anything in return.

Now it’s our turn to show up for them. Clay is currently in Denver receiving critical care, and their world has been turned upside down. They are navigating the scary road of medical uncertainty and hoping for a liver transplant. Melissa is doing everything she can to be by his side while also balancing time away from work and caring for their children back home. Soon, the kids will be joining them in Denver so they can be together as a family during this incredibly difficult time. Along with the emotional weight they are carrying, they are also facing overwhelming hospital bills and an uncertain road ahead.
