Coming Together for Chris

Hi everybody, my name is Glenn Aho and I'm the owner of A & H Services, Inc. Myself and the A & H family have started this gofundme account for a special person who has been dealt one of life's cruel blows. That person is an employee of my company named Chris Thurman (pictured above). Chris is not only an employee, but a close friend.
This is longer than I wanted it to be but I felt it was important. I would appreciate it if y'all could read the whole thing to learn Chris's story.
On December 18th, 2016, without warning, Chris became doubled over with abdominal pain and had to be taken to the emergency room. They eventually determined he had a perforated colon. On December 22nd, they operated, removed the bad section of colon and tied it back together. They would soon discover that this "connection" did not hold up and had begun leaking again. People that have experienced this say it is one of the most excruciating pains there are.  On December 28th, they had to perform emergency surgery again and this time he would have to have a colostomy bag for at least 3 months until he was healed enough to undergo a third surgery ! What a nightmare right ? The story is not over.  After spending 20 days in the hospital, Chris was elated to finally be going home, but after only 11 days, a blood clot that could've killed him, migrated to his lungs. He was back in the hospital. Chris is only 42 years old and had never had a serious medical issue in his life.
After spending 7 more days in the hospital, Chris is home again, but is now beginning to have to deal with the financial burdens this has caused. He is now on blood thinners which will delay his 3rd surgery to maybe 6 months and he will have to go back on blood thinners after that surgery. All tolled, he may miss up to a year of work (possibly more). Because of the risk associated with the blood thinners and to a lesser degree the colostomy bag, he can not work or do much recreationally.
We at A & H Services and his close friends and family have already helped Chris out financially where possible, but it is a "drop in the bucket" compared to what his family will ultimately need to get through this.
Chris is the sole provider for his family. The cost of Chris's first hospital stay was $218,000. He will require, many more doctor's visits, medicine, and addl. surgery & hospitalization, that will balloon this cost to much more. We are still trying to project after insurance coverage what amount of these bills he will be ultimately responsible for. We're thinking at least $30,000. But the most urgent financial needs will be his upcoming living expenses. Mortgage payment, utilities, groceries, insurance and prescriptions will probably be at least $4,000/month. His mortgage company will only defer 2 mos. mortgage payments and then require it all be paid on the 3rd month. That will be no help at all.
At the beginning, I said Chris was a special person. Anyone who knows Chris well, can skip this paragraph because they already know what I mean. I'll start with what he means to our company, A & H Services. He is the person everyone else can't wait to see in the morning. He puts everyone in a good mood to start the day with his humor and kindness. He is the person most requested and loved by our customers. Many have expressed deep concern for what he is going through. He treats everyone the same, with kindness and respect, as if you were his best friend. He has a wonderful sense of humor, yet he is tough as nails. He's not a complainer and I know he is somewhat embarrased to take (this) charity.
Anyone in this situation deserves help, but I can honestly say I do not know another person that deserves it more than this man. His "bank account" is full of good deeds. He would be the first person to help someone else in need.
I ask anyone who reads this, even if you don't know Chris, to help anyway you can. Any amount would be appreciated. If you give anything to any charities at all which of them could be better than seeing every penny of your money going directly to a GOOD person in need.
     Thank you so much.
