Our Oakland Beach School community is coming together to support one of our own during an incredibly difficult time.

Sammy is a 4th grade student here at Oakland Beach School. I am his school nurse. He is in critical condition, and his family has remained by his bedside around the clock. His mom is a beloved member of our staff . She is currently facing every parent’s worst nightmare. In order to be there for their child during this critical time, they have had to step away from work and have not left the hospital.

As you can imagine, this situation brings overwhelming emotional stress as well as unexpected financial burdens. Expenses such as lost wages, meals, travel, parking, daily living costs and now funeral expenses. These funds will go directly to Sammy's family

We are asking our community to come together to help ease some of this burden. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward supporting the family so they can remain at their child’s side without the added worry of financial strain.
