We are looking to raise money for both Comic Relief and The Longlevens U9 Lions first ever football tour.
Comic Relief
All year-round, the money donated to Comic Relief works hard to support some incredible projects making a change to people's lives across the UK and around the world. Over the past two years, Comic Relief funding has helped to support 11.7 million people, including:
-more than 750,000 people in the UK experiencing financial and material poverty to access advice and support.
-more than 29,000 people who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse to access safe accommodation and specialist services.
-more than 46,000 children and young people in the UK, and more than 8.1 million internationally.
Longlevens Lions U9's First ever "Football Tour"
After a COVID hit first season of football at U8s, the Longlevens Lions have had a great second season as U9s. They have “won” the League, going undefeated all season. Not only that, they reached the quarter finals of their very first tournament, and are now waiting for the quarter final of the Challenge cup! Not bad for a mixed ability team!
As a reward, we need to raise as much money as we can to ensure every member of the team can join us on their first ever football tour.
The children, along with the coaches and parents, are taking part in “The Big Red Nose Day Run Together”. We have to run, walk or jog 50 miles in March, and we are looking to raise as much money as we can.
Every single pound will make a difference for both Comic Relief, and also for this team of dedicated young men in creating a once in a lifetime experience.
Thank you all for your support and if you see us about running in our White Comic Relief T-shirts, or Red Longlevens tops, give us a beep!!
